Frequently Asked Questions

  • How many weeks of free rental are included in the offer?
    Our current offer is divided into two parts: One is the transportation of scaffolding materials, the construction of scaffolding, including step-by-step construction (which is commonly found in the process of new buildings) and the dismantling and transportation of scaffolding. This price is basically calculated based on the outside area of the house, which is simply the perimeter multiplied by the height; of course, the difficulty of construction and the convenience of material handling are also considered. We can quote the new house according to the approved drawings; the original house is free to quote after on-site measurement; for example, the cost of transportation, construction and demolition is $3,850; The second is the scaffolding rent, calculated on a weekly basis, and the rent will be calculated from the day after the completion of the construction and listing, such as $285 per week. There are some quotations that say that the first 8 weeks are free. According to our quotation method above, it can be changed to $3,850+$285×8 = $6130. After that, the weekly rent is $285. These are just two different ways of quoting, and you can decide which scaffolding company to use based on your own specific usage time to estimate the total cost.
  • How long in advance do I need to make an appointment to rent scaffolding?
    For ordinary single houses, or a part of the area of the house, generally one week in advance is enough; for developers to build two or more houses or apartments, four weeks in advance will be more convenient for everyone;
  • When do new homes start to need scaffolding?
    The scaffolding construction time is after the foundation and the bottom frame of the house are completed; it can be completed on the bottom frame. If there are steel beams, the bottom scaffolding should be built before the steel beams are hoisted. This allows builders to install the steel beam details using the underlying scaffolding. After the steel beams are completed, the construction personnel usually continue to build the sub-floor and continue to build the second-story frame. If the bottom-floor roof is involved, the scaffolders need to continue to build the second story after the bottom-roof plank paving is completed.
  • How to calculate the construction fee and rent if it is built in steps?
    The new house is built in steps, and the construction fee will be charged after calculating 100% of the completed part; the balance will be charged after the remaining part is built; the rent is also charged according to the actual use ratio; for example, the scaffolding on the second floor, after the first floor is built, it took two weeks to build the second floor, so in the first two weeks, 50% of the scaffolding rent was charged instead of the full rent in the quotation.
  • Is variation included in the quotation, or is there any cost that cannot be determined?
    We try our best to consider all factors in the quotation process and take possible variables into consideration, such as the labour and additional transportation waiting for factors involved in the necessary modifications during the step-by-step construction and step-by-step dismantling process.

  • Is the cost of the second build included in the initial scaffolding quote?
    Yes, we will consider the possible secondary demolition and reconstruction, and this extra workload was taken into account at the beginning of the quotation; our quotation is a one-time fixed price, and there is no need for change in non-special circumstances.

The usual situation of the second modification of the scaffolding: balcony, low roof and inward wall.

  • If there is a balcony: It involves the waterproofing and ground treatment and the construction sequence of the inner wall and roof of the balcony. It depends on the arrangement of the builder, and we need to work with the builders to modify the scaffolding.
  • Split-level roof or/and low roof. We build the bottom floor first when there is a low roof; after waiting for the builder to complete the part of the roof, we install roof protection on the new roof and build new scaffolding on top of it for jobs of the upper exterior wall and roof building.
  • There is a design that the outer walls of the second floor and above are retracted inward: if the retracted size is not large, such as 200-800mm, we can install the ground on the inner side of the retracted part on the basis upwards to maintain a safe distance within 300mm from the finished wall.

Yes, we will consider the possible secondary demolition and reconstruction, and this extra workload was taken into account at the beginning of the quotation; our quotation is a one-time fixed price, and there is no need for change in non-special circumstances.
